I’ve always been a fan of Joanna Weaver books and I’ve been waiting to review Lazarus Awakening DVD Study Pack, a video Bible study filmed in the Holy Land. If you’re like me and unable to visit the historical sites where Jesus walked, then you’ll enjoy the DVD! Set aside a time and a location for this journey into the tomb of Lazarus…and discover your own resurrection of faith. Find your place in the heart of God.

The Lazarus Awakening DVD Study Pack includes eight video sessions, each lasting from 17 minutes to 20 minutes in length. There are a total of three DVD’s and the entire series requires almost three hours of viewing time. This is an excellent opportunity for local small group study, individual Bible study, or a mini-retreat. After watching the sessions I’d recommend a mini retreat! Take breaks between the video sessions and read Bible passages referenced in the video. Write in your journal what the Holy Spirit has placed upon your heart. Set a day for your mini-retreat at home… just you and Jesus, or set a location with a few friends.

I found myself captivated by Joanna’s voice, her deep passion, and her personalization of the stories she teaches. She has a gift for organizing key concepts into eight sessions, and then presents a verbal outline of the key points. Write down these key points in your related study guide included in the DVD set.
